![]() This Dão wine is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Alfrocheiro grapes. This wine was made by Carlos Lucas who was voted "Winemaker of the Year" in 2007. The grapes were harvested with a good maturation and cooled immediately after, to preserve all the natural aromas during the crushing. The fermentation, in stainless steal with controlled temperature around 79º F, for 3 weeks, to get a good extraction of the skins. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine rested 9 months in french oak barrel. Deep purple red colour, dark red fruit with some spices. A very elegant wine, like most Dão region wines. Pairing Suggestion: Try this wine with a spicy grilled beef tenderloin. Wine should be served at 61 degrees.
